South Point Grocery coming to Silo Square in 2025!
“I hate big-box grocery stores. I hate shopping. I hate the experience of a big-box grocery store,” Brian Hill said.
Hill is the developer behind Southaven’s Silo Square. The development broke ground in 2018. It includes some 300 single-family homes, as well as a main commercial square that is punctuated by a bell tower and extends beyond the square along Getwell Road. A few of its draws are Central BBQ, Staks Kitchen, and Kyuramen.

Silo Square helps Make-A-Wish for young boy
Walking into Vampire Penguin in Silo Square Saturday afternoon, a young five-year-old boy learned that he would be taking a trip of a lifetime, fulfilling a dream come true.
Thanks to Make-A-Wish Mid-South and Silo Square the young boy identified only as “Wish Kid Danny” discovered that he and his family would be leaving Jan. 15 for Disney World.
The discovery destination at Vampire Penguin for Danny and his family came after a scavenger hunt of Silo Square businesses, leading to its final destination.

Developer Brian Hill announced this week that construction is underway on Lucky Dog Music Hall & Bar. The new venue will feature live music with pub style food and drinks, roll up barn doors for outdoor seating, and a mezzanine overlooking the bell tower.

The 2022 Buy A Tree. Change A Life. fundraiser raised $289,000, nearly $40,000 more than the first year effort in 2021. Half of the money raised through the tree sales and other donations goes to the Healing Hearts Child Advocacy Center, which provides advocacy services to victims of child abuse in DeSoto and Tate counties.

Fresh Valley Juice & Salad Bar opened about five weeks ago at Silo Square in Southaven. According to general manager Maria Reyes, she was getting tired of having to cross state lines to find something healthier to eat. Reyes' family owns the Mi Pueblo restaurants in the area. The salad and juice bar is a new concept for them, which is why it fits particularly well at Silo Square.

Southaven adds farmers market to Silo Square plans
Silo Square’s developer won approval from Southaven to add yet another layer to the 288-acre, mixed-use development patterned after a town square concept.
The Board of Aldermen voted unanimously Tuesday, Dec. 6, for subdivision approval of three lots on the northern end of the commercial portion of the development. Two of the lots are slated for offices, while the third will be used for a farmers market.
